So, in order to make it possible for James to be able to play with ‘current’ day MCU muses, I’ve decided to set about making him an AU. It goes as follows:
Really, he should have known that eventually something would go wrong. JARVIS had warned him multiple times that things were getting a little out of hand, but Jamie being Jamie had completely ignored it –and wasn’t that a familiar setting?- and kept at it.
Until something did go wrong and...
...This is definitely not the same basement he was in a moment ago. Or... it is. But it’s... different.
Not the same.
At least JARVIS worked the same way. Even if he didn’t actually know who James was.
Odd.
And that would be the security alarm.
It wasn’t too hard to make it outside and away before anything too bad happened, but things felt wrong, unfamiliar and James didn’t like it. At all. Why had his own home’s security gone off against him?
It isn’t until he checks a newspaper that he realises.
Well, that explains a lot.
Basically my idea is that James messes up an experiment he’s working on and ends up sending himself back in time, to follow all current movie canons up to and including Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Meaning, everyone he used to know has no idea who he is and he remembers everything. And is quickly adjusting to things being over 18 years outdated.
